Embrace the real you! That is the message we got from listening to women discuss Natural hair at Curls, Coils and Cocktails last month.

There is nothing more complicated in Black Beauty than that of the relationship between a black woman and her hair. Support is always a good thing, and after years of using chemicals and instruments to rid of our natural curls, it is finally getting through that we should love and embrace what we have.

It was lovely being in a room with women who have learned or are learning how to wear their hair naturally. The discuss with panelists was funny, informative and well needed! From what men think of their ladies who make the big chop and grow out their hair naturally, to how to be comfortable in your new due and where to find stylists that understand your hair.
