Valentine’s Date Idea? Tea Time at Windsor Arms!

A date isn’t really a date if there is no conversation, especially if you’re a new couple learning about each other. Many first dates happen on Valentine’s Day! So you need an activity that will motivate you to talk. Movies? No. Concert? No. Twilight Tea at Windsor Arms Hotel? YES! To prove our point, we went to Windsor Arms Tea Room for a Sisterly Date. Yeah, we’re single, so we had to make do. Windsor Arms Tea Room is a great idea for girlfriends, mothers day, and most importantly Valentine’s Day. Go through our pictures and read about our overall experience below!

The bright, English atmosphere in the Tea Room is so light and airy! You immediately feel comfortable and settled for a good chat. This was our first time at Windsor Arms Tea Room so we were excited to see how the service would be.

We started off the evening at 6pm, when the Twilight Tea is served. Twilight Tea includes your choice of loose leaf tea, Scones with preserves, sandwiches with smoked salmon, cream cheese and a variety of adorable looking treats. The tea is quite filling actually and could easily be considered as a dinner. We ended up taking home more than half our presentation of sandwiches. We started our evening with glasses of House Chardonnay, just because.

Carcia– This is My Tea Cup! Because we were having loose leaf tea, a filter is necessary. I decided to try Tibetan Tiger (Chocolate Bits, Vanilla, Organic Rooibos & Black Tea). It tasted delightful! Great choice for a chocolate flavor lover like myself!

Telly– Don’t you love the color of my tea? I had Fruit Medley (Apricot & Apple Fruit blend). It had a great taste to it and barely needed any sugar.

Here are our tea pots! We loved the Old English element Windsor Arms Tea Room had. We must of talked about the tea pots for 20 minutes! Great conversation starters from the choice of tea, to the decor!

Just a few of the tasty choices you get with a Twilight Tea presentation. So delish and lovely to look at. We took turns trying different items and gave our opinion on each! Again, another great way to start conversation in a date situation!

Carcia– HerCastleGirls love Scones! Awesome style goes well with Tea. I went with a fur stole (H&M), black turtle-neck (GAP), Beret (old), and vintage frames. Telly did a Floral Button-down, and funky necklace. We had a lot of different questions about the food, and our waiter, who was only 3 weeks into his new job at the Tea Room knew EVERYTHING about the presentation! We were verra impressed! A Well-trained staff is key! Less things to worry about when you’re trying to impress your date.

Deserts topped off the food presentation and fresh scones with raspberry preserves.

More selections from our Twilight Tea presentation selection! The items may look small, but we were FULL afterwards. We brought home a doggie bag!

The Windsor Arms Hotel has partnered with Look Good Feel Better as part of their Give Back Program. Guests are encouraged to donate $5 to the cause and in turn, wear a fancy hat during Afternoon Tea. You know we would have been all over this if it was offered during Twilight Tea. The $5 donation will go to supporting women with cancer.

Sparkling Raspberry Sorbet! So good and a great flavor for the pallet after tea!

Beautiful presentation, friendly service and a great atmosphere can conger up some great conversations. Great conversations can lead to long lasting love connections!

Twilight Tea takes place at 5:30pm, Monday to Sunday $50.00/person. Next year, hopefully, Telly and I will have some cute guys to take to Valentine’s Tea. In the meantime, YOU go ahead and let us know what you think! We loved it.
