Cover It: Madonna on Interview Magazine 1990

Express Yourself! No one says it better than Madonna guys, sorry. The innovative star that continues to inspire generations, gave off the glam fashion of the 1990s so strongly on this cover of Interview magazine (taken by the late Herb Ritts) in June of 1990, the decade when new ideas and concepts started entering in fashion, music and film. Gone was the over love of stretch lace, and polka dots mixed with frills and huge cuffs became a staple in fashion shows and magazine covers. Check out any on-trend retailer right now and you will see that the Polka Dot is having a serious revival. Even the bowler hat is appearing in different colors all across the retail universe. Maybe we don’t want to walk around in our undies and fish-nets, but we want to infuse more polka-dots (preferably black and white ones) into our wardrobe.

Thanks for the inspiration Madonna! Express those dots.
