Burberry Resort 2023

Burberry’s latest collection has me in my feelings wanting to wear fall and winter clothes in the summer.

Plaid, leather, thigh-high boots, caps, hosiery, all the things that make fall fashion great, Burberry brought to the table. For this collection, Riccardo Tisci, the creative director for Burberry, did a collaboration with his long-time friend and American artist Jared Buckhiester. The inspiration behind the line was “the UK rave culture of the late ’90s which Tisci has always been very fond of since his younger days.

Now..to be honest, I don’t see any form of rave in this new collection but I still love it. It’s giving a lot of different things. The classic plaid coats that you wear when heading up to the cabin, the sexy black dresses to wear to slick fashion parties, the over-the-knee/thigh-high boots that are perfect for a night out or if you want to look cute and show off how long your legs are. the overalls for weekend trips with friends (overalls are great, you can do a lot of layering underneath them).

It was a fabulous display of traditional and experimental. Major fans of Burberry will be pleased with the classic shapes and bags and of course the plaid. People who are maybe more experimental will also love the collection because it does showcase a lot of “out of the box” types styles. In the menswear part of the collection, Burberry features tailored column skirts…or maxi-aprons?…you can check it out in our gallery below. Then there are the jeans that go beyond the waist and start at the bust…It’s actually kinda cool.

All in all, it’s a great collection! Check out some of our favourites below in our gallery.
