Versace FW22 RTW

Bold… Sexy… Fun… Versace.

The fall collection for Versace that was previewed earlier this year for Milan Fashion Week was pretty much what I expected it to be (Bold, Sexy and Fun) I love it when a brand sticks to the script. Donnatella gave her diehard fans exactly what they wanted.

I would say that my takeaway from this collection was “Get yourself a corset”. The corset was on full display and it looked lovely with the long pencil skirts, oversized coats and trousers. Everything was fitted, forming close to the body but was paired with something oversized which made it quite pleasing. Now of course, if you are not into that, have no fear, Versace has you covered.

As much as I saw corsets, there were a lot of micro-minis, and they come in every colour and fabric. The show overall was really cool. I’m a sucker for oversized jackets with short skirts or dresses, the look is so chic.

Now with covid restrictions lifting and we’re all ready to pack away our jogging pants and t-shirts. We can all get back to embracing fashion and trying out new styles. As much as I love black (black is right for all seasons) it’s great to see that we’re still going strong with colour. You may be meeker with your colour choices and that’s fine, but if you want to experiment with bright reds and bold pinstripes, do it in stages, remember fashion is all about having fun and experimenting.
