Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week: The Ones We Love Pt 2

We fell in love with the following pieces from various designers at New York’s Fashion Week.
DONNA KARAN
RTW FW 2012
Plaid is back! We enjoyed the creativity of layering in the first 2 looks from the show. Makes you think of ways to style your own ‘colder months’ outfits. We also adored the androgynous tailoring of suits and dresses!
RACHEL ROY
RTW FW 2012
Rachel Roy‘s use of color is perfection in this collection. There was use of color blocking, and bursts of gorgeous prints. Being a fan of scarves and tall collars, we loved the snood accessories as well.
RACHEL ZOE
RTW FW 2012
This was such a strong look, we couldn’t leave it out. The use of  black and white, the fit of the trousers: We want to wear this. This look in some form or the other is totally wearable.
VICTORIA BECKHAM
RTW FW 2012
Loved the collar & neutrals in this look.
ZAC POSEN
RTW FW 2012
We have to say, Zac Posen was our favorite collection. GORGEOUS gowns, dresses and casual wear. It was almost too beautiful for ready-to-wear! You could see a bit of an Asian influence, excellent tailoring, and great use of color on luxe fabrics.
We want to mention Skaist-Taylor, a new label created by the ladies behind the creation of Juicy Couture, Pamela Skaist-Levy & Gela Nash-Taylor. They gave us some Los Angeles, bo-ho flavor, but we’re feeling the line still has a ways to go. The identity isn’t as defined as Juicy Couture was, and that can take time to develop. We’ll wait and see for what happens next season.
