Why should you care: It’s always nice to see your hometown go into lockdown mode to host one of the biggest parties in the world. The MMVA’s have been around for years (since the 1990’s, BUT it seems it didn’t really air on TV till 2002). There is no “real host” per-say. The VJ’s and cool celebs co-host to keep the party going. Its never been held in your traditional theater setting like most award ceremonies, instead Queen Street West and John Street become the playground for all the musical madness. We love the non-traditional ways of the MMVA’S because different is always good!
