On The Runway: Moose & Beaver FW 2013

We are inspired by young artists and designers who make that plunge and do their thing. March 5, 2013 we were introduced to Moose&Beaver Apparel, a women’s ready-to-wear label incorporating lush knits, and vintage furs sewn by hand. The turn out for this show was amazing! 200 guests rushed to their seats to see the work of Creative Director and Owner Leah Antoinette, and remember, this is her FIRST showing. Speaking casually after the show, you could see how grateful she was for the support. She said presenting her work to so many industry people was a very moving experience.

The models were styled very low key, showing how the ‘everyday’ girl can wear Moose&Beaver. There were many pieces that had us saying, “Yes, I would wear that” or “I want to wear that.” Here are some of our favorite pieces from the show.

It you have the legs, do it. Cute knit shorts for the confident girl.
Love the dress, the scarf, the colors…
Love mixed materials. This tunic makes for a great casual, but ultra chic look. Add a nice gold statement piece with blue stones and you’re off!
This Hood is Everything!
Vests are great for in-between weather. We love the length here too.
Take a bow Leah!

Moose&Beaver Apparel Fall/Winter 2013 will be available for sale at mooseandbeaver.com. Prices range from $250 to $1,000 CDN.
