Being the go-to person for your family and friends can be rewarding.

It’s nice to know that people look to you as their lighthouse, a shelter in the time of their personal storm. Sometimes, this role of you being the beckon of hope can take a toll. Because your vibe is so beautiful and you love to help people….it can be draining and you can be taken advantage of.

Being a high vibe person myself (Car and I are almost always on a high vibe) people can sense it and want to get to know you and unload their problems on you. That’s all well and good until you begin to feel drained and empty because your pouring into everyone else’s cup but not refilling yours.

You can tell you’re being drained if you experience any of the following:

  • Your stress levels go up

  • Feeling more tired than usual or experiencing insomnia

  • Sadness

  • Changes in Appetite

  • Loss of concentration

  • Anxiety

If you’re experiencing any emotions like this, it’s time to put a budget on your mental health.

It’s not selfish for you to come first, you’re taking a stand for yourself. Let’s face it, there are some really toxic people out there who want to bring others down with them. We can’t save everybody, but you can save yourself.

Do whatever is necessary to make your mental health #1 in your life, even if it means cutting ties with people, places and things you would have never imagined living without.

We’re living in times where we need to be aware of who we are and what kind of information we’re taking in. We’re like sponges so although you feel you can handle anyone’s problem and let it go, you can’t and that individual’s problem becomes your problem.

We can no longer afford Stress, toxic people, negative energy, fear, doubt and anything else that lowers our high vibe. If you start to really take account of the things that are leaving you mentally broke and strapped, put the proper practices into place, you’ll see how much joy you’ll have in your day-to-day life and how rich you truly are.
