But…What if it goes right?

Stop thinking of what can go wrong and start thinking about what can go right.

We’re programmed to always think negatively about how things are going to pan out. You’ve never experienced it before, you never tried anything related to what you want to do… you haven’t even googled anything yet but we are so quick to pass judgments on ourselves.

Now don’t get me wrong, I know how that feeling feels. We all go through it and it’s a fight that is not easily won. All is not lost though. The same energy you’re using though to doubt yourself, try taking that and believe in yourself.

A little Timbit about me, I’m a woman of faith and I’m VERY optimistic, like 90% optimistic and 10% realistic. I know that’s a bit of danger for me, but I’ve always believed that even if it doesn’t work out, it was meant to of happened that way. I remain grateful for the experience. I’ve always been that way since I was a kid. Whenever the doubt monster crept up on me, I would fight back and pick myself back up to believe that I can do it or at least try it. Even if I failed at it, I would take it as a lesson to learn and move along to try again or try with a different method.

I think the problem with many of us is our ego. We’re not afraid to try but we’re certainly afraid to try and fail. Even worse, we live in a world where everyone and their great-grandma has a phone with a camera on it so God forbid you tried something and it’s not the greatest, it might end up on someone’s TikTok or IG.

This is my message for you today, Try. Keep your mind on what can go right. Acknowledge that yes, it may not turn out how you envision it in your mind but don’t let that stop you from trying, learning and knowing that you did something; you tried something.

Get your canvas and paint, dust off your transcripts with the plays you’ve written, and pick up that instrument.  You have no idea where it will take you all because we tried.

So yes it could go all to hell… But what if it all goes right? There’s only one way to find out.
