Mental Health Awareness Month.

As you know, May 1st to the 31st is mental health awareness month. To be honest, every day you should be focusing on your mental health but this month the world comes together to help each other understand what mental illness is and how it affects a person.

We are living in very interesting times, there are a lot of triggers out there, and people are hurting. Now more than ever we have to focus on our mental health and make sure that we are getting the help we need.

Back in 2019, I interviewed Carcia about her mental health journey. We talk about how she knew when it was time to get help and how she makes sure to keep her mental health in check every day because like I said in the beginning: You should be focusing on your mental health every single day.

You know, the seriousness of mental health has come a long way. It use to be frowned upon, you would be told to go and eat something you’re probably hungry, or go take a nap you’ll feel better in the morning. We know now that it’s deeper than taking nap or eating something and the stigma around mental health is finally being lifted.

These days, people lose the shame of admittance to a problem, these days we praise people and help them however we can If you’re going through something and you feel like you can’t go any further, please seek professional help. You are worth saving and I encourage you to hang on, Get all the help you need and take all the time you need to heal and be well.

Watch this video, we hope it brings you some comfort to know you’re not alone and that you are fully supported and loved.
