Inspiration Is: Bette Davis

She’s inspired a generations of actresses who would never voice their own opinion. Bette Davis (born October 6 1908) never feared letting you know her true feelings with those sassy huge, doll-like eyes. Remember the song, Bette Davis Eyes? Bette didn’t want to play the lovable characters. She enjoyed the dark, un-lovable characters and for her time (started acting in 1929), that was risky. She stands out as one of the best actresses of all time. Along with her acting talent, she had an eye for fashion and favored tailored jackets and suits, shorter pin-curled hair and hats. We find inspiration today in her fashionable ways.
Ahead of her time, Bette posed for this picture in 1938. This lovely suede outfit could easily be the envy of all fashionable women today.
I do not regret one professional enemy I have made. Any actor who doesn’t dare to make an enemy should get out of the business.

Classic!

An affair now and then is good for a marriage. It adds spice, stops it from getting boring… I ought to know.
