Many of us know Jill Hennessy for her roles in television hit series Law & Order and films such as RoboCop 3. Along with her role on the new show Madam Secretary, Jill has been busy promoting her album release, I Do. Thankfully, Jill took some time out for us to answer our questions below.

If there is any place in the world that you could go, where would it be and why?

I have always wanted to tour the haunted castles of Scotland and Ireland. I would love to bring my guitar and play sessions with everyone

When it comes to Netflix, What have you been binging on?

I am Never able to binge watch anything. I have loved the episodes I’ve seen of “Bloodlines” and need to see more “Orange is the new Black” and “Peeky Blinders”.

Superman or Batman? and Why?

Superman all the way!! C’mon, we’re talking real alien super-powers vs. money & gadgets. No contest.

Would you prefer to be smart or happy, and why?

Happiness is everything. What’s the point of being smart but crushingly depressed?

As far as your latest release, which track of yours should we have on repeat right now?

One of my favorite tracks is a song I wrote about my grandmother, Ann, who was a Ukrainian immigrant to Canada. It’s called “Edmonton” and is essentially an homage to the courage of all immigrants who seek a better life for themselves and their families. Also, I wrote the melody line of the chorus to be reminiscent of a pub song.
