How do you pass the day indoors when it’s pouring outside?
Sure you could clean the dusty corners and rid of those cob-webs, but wouldn’t you rather relax in your pj’s and pop in a few dvds or blu-rays? YES!
Here’s the list we hope inspires you! Nothing moves us more then a good music bio-pic. These films always seem to illustrate the rise to fame, how the fame is handled, how the fame swallows the subject, and how the subject has to get off whatever addiction or situation that traps them. The story never gets old!

Ask what our favorite movie of all time is. As much as we are die hard for gangster/mafia films, we are in love with Cameron Crowe’s classic, Almost Famous. A story about a journalism kid who’s obsessed with music. Not fully “real” as the band is fiction, but the idea is a combined version of what Crowe dealt with as a writer for Rollingstone Magazine. The big plus other then the acting and amazing characters, is the fashion! 70’s boho, men with shaggy hair and bell bottoms. Very inspiring if you wanna pull a groovy look for a night out. |

Another iconic figure in music was Jim Morrison of the poetic band The Doors. The Doors movie really oozes Oliver Stone, just because its a masterpiece following the band through their journey. Fashion note? Jim Morrison was a fashion icon! No one could wear leather pants and white tunic shirts like him. |

A Hard Days Night, named after the soundtracks lead song, this movie is a funny, cheeky peek into the lives of The Beatles on the road! The Beatles were just too cute, witty and fashion forward in their black suits and cuban heeled boots. Major note here? John, Paul, George & Ringo were the first ones to put that mop-top hair cut on the map, over 30 years ago. They aren’t called The Best Band Of All Time for nothing. |

Ahh, the amazing Ray Charles! Jamie Foxx shone as Ray. This movie really made you understand the climb Ray took to climb the ladder of success as a blind musician and singer. Its inspiring. Everyone should see it. Fashion note? Ray’s shades! And the ladies outfits in this film! clinched waistlines and pencil skirts. Retro sexy! |

One of the greatest girl groups of all time, The Spice Girls! Spice World, The Movie is very much along the same lines as A Hard Days Night. Its a funny, cute depiction of the Spice Girls lives performing and a look at how they came to be. It promises to be a good laugh. |

A perfect film for those who want a strong love story with their rockstar tale. Johnny Cash, (the man in black), and June Carter were destined to be together, regardless of the obstacles (drugs, marriages, egos). This is such a beautiful story, you want to meet these to. Unfortunately both have now passed, but this movie helps their memory live on forever. Fashion notes? Country star costumes for June in bright, pretty poodle skirt-like dresses and Johnny Cash in Black, his signature. What man doesn’t look elegant in head to toe black? |

Tina Turner’s story, Whats Love Got To Do With It is one to watch. Not only to see an award winning performance, but to see how anyone can get out of a negative situation. Tina! We DO need another hero and that’s YOU! The hair, the legs…..makes you want to dance and build a fashion adventure with minis and heels! |
