Musically Crushing: SIA

We loved Baz Luhrmann‘s The Great Gatsby that came out in May earlier this year. The costumes were gorgeous. The scenery was breathtaking and the soundtrack was refreshing. The soundtrack featured well-known artists Jay Z, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Ray, Andre 3000 etc. and it also featured artists that you don’t hear about everyday, that being SIA, the Australian native sings the hypnotic Kill and Run on the soundtrack. Most recently SIA partnered up with DJ David Guetta on his track Titanium.  Critics say that Kill and Run is very reminiscent in haunting ambiance to Adele‘s Skyfall and for that same reason, they praise it. SIA’s voice is spectacular and her emotional vocals lead listeners to a powerful dramatic, over the top torch climax in the song. Her fashion sense, like her voice, is unusual, but interesting enough.
