We can assure you of one thing, Toronto’s fashion design future is bright! DANIER and the Ryerson School of Fashion unveiled the DANIER DESIGN CHALLENGE winner last night at an intimate ceremony. In it’s fourth year, the competition reveals top Canadian student design talent through a comprehensive selection process that incorporates mentoring by industry experts. Friends of students cheered and clapped for their friends who placed in the final stage of the competition. The talented group made it hard for judges! There was a three way tie for third place, with contestants Amy Tahmizian, Diana Li and Kamra Khalid each receiving $2000. The second place prize was given to design student Som Kong who was awarded $3000. The top spot and $5000 cash prize was awarded to Ostwald Au-Yeung for his innovative and high-fashion design.
