Art of Fashion RAW! And The Winner Is…
Young, talented designers were put to the test last month in a competition displaying fashion in the RAW! This week, the winner was announced and it was very close according to organizers of the event. Canada is full of amazing talent! Ryan Joelson‘s collection ROUGH HEWN was crowned Canada’s Most Promising Designer. The near tie counted led the Art of Fashion board of directors to create an additional prize package and title to award Anouk Moran‘s collection The Resplendent Warrior as the Most Promising Designer Runner Up. Amy Yuen and her collection SIX ELEMENTS won the People’s Choice award as voted by event attendees and new online ballot system. It was an exciting end to a competition we watched from the beginning to end. The night of the official competition at Yorkville`s Hazelton Lanes was packed with fashion insiders who took close looks at pieces by the finalists, while judges walked through and took their notes. The public could make their votes by scanning the QR code provided for the night! Congratulations to all the finalists & winners! It was a night of celebration.
