Bohten Eyewear – Summer Launch
Drawing inspiration from his Ghanaian roots and his love for nature, eyewear designer and founder of Bohten, Nana Boateng Osei has created lightweight, comfortable, zero-waste sunglasses made out of reclaimed wood from West Africa. The product is constructed and designed here in Canada.
Bohten’s initiative is clear, to reuse environmental reclaimed material (barley, wheat, straw, stone) to design contemporary eyeglasses. Because the materials used are so unusual, the design is simple and minimalistic. Late last month, Bohten hosted guests, including camera’s from The Dragon’s Den, to their first Toronto fashion show. The show featured 5 looks matched with jewelry by POSH. There is no need to ask questions about which pairs are for the ladies or gents. I would consider each pair as unisex and very easy to wear with just about any outfit. See for yourself with images below.
