CAITLIN POWER FW 2012 at Toronto Fashion Week |
Inspired by technology and science, Calgary native Caitlin Power presented her latest collection of contemporary pieces mixed with leather, silk chiffon and neoprene (a technical fabric) at Toronto Fashion Week. At points, the collection had an androgynous feel like the look pictured above. Caitlin even presented a printed green & black button down shirt that was worn by a male and female model (pictured below). Strong tailoring and black lipstick added the edge while small additions of neon green and off-white balanced out the collection nicely. We would LOVE to wear some of these pieces right now while Spring has just begun. Here are some more looks we raved on about.

A fashion staple? A silk shirt. Goes with just about everything! |
|
Loved the neon here. It takes the leather skirt to sportswear level. Trend alert! Neon will be cool for winter. |
|
Loved the sheer fabric used on some of the pieces. The exaggerated sleeves? Plus! |
