Inspiration Is: Dorothy Dandridge

Actress, Singer, and the first African-American to be nominated for an
Academy Award for Best Actress…Her name was Dorothy Dandridge.

 Big Break? 1954’s Carmen Jones

How to be inspired by Dorothy’s Fashion traits:
Class with a bit of sass. Period.
Be proud of those curves that make you feminine. The Fit should be close to the body.
Sleek handbags and shoes.
Hair must be ‘done’, meaning no ‘bed head’ if you want to pull off a look like this.
Emphasis on the shoulders is a must! Show them off with well-cut neck lines, but not too much cleavage.
