Inspiration Is: Elvira Hancock of SCARFACE
If you haven’t seen Scarface, you have missed a very important film in cinematic history and pop culture. The crime drama is based on a Cuban who craves the American dream at any cost. His name is Tony Montana (played by Al Pacino) and on his way to the top he desires Elvira Hancock, his boss’s girlfriend. Portrayed by the young actress Michelle Pfeiffer, Elvira was the classic drug lord girlfriend. Once Tony Montana got rid of his boss, he had ownership of all he had, including Elvira. It was a small role, but playing Elvira Hancock catapulted Michelle Pfeiffer’s career! The controversial character was a heavy cocaine user and lover of the finer things, which made for some great fashion moments in the film. Elvira is skinny, flat chested and fashionable! She is ‘It Girl’ quality, but pretty messed up emotionally. Elvira likes solids in white, red and blue. She can be seen wearing elegant, sexy nightwear, low cut slip dresses, broad hats, and suits.
