This year is all about color, no doubt, but there is something about black and texture that gets me every time. It reminds me of Janet Jackson. Red lips always shine against a black palette too. Here, I wanted to carry the leather from my boots to the outfit some how. I have a fur vest that came with a leather belt. I hated the belt with the vest. In fact, I took the belt off and through it into a draw and forgot about it until I started styling this look. I pulled out the belt I hated and used it as a leather belt, tying it in a bow and immediately I turned this look into a night look for a dinner date! Good thing I didn’t throw the belt out, right? The lesson is, experiment with fashion! Icons like Freddie Mercury used to buy leather neck ties and use them as belts for his famous white Guess jeans, ya know.
