My Closet: Your Heart Should Feel

We could make a long list of pros and cons when it comes to the white collared button down shirt, but every functional wardrobe, in some form, needs one. The dress I’m wearing here is very basic. The only interesting thing about it is the buttons in the front and the silky fabric its made from. Being me, I wanted to style the dress up! Take it from office wear to weekend wear! Funny thing is, the basic white button-down added the “cool” factor. I tied the shirt up, added some cool-artsy necklace from my own jewelry line, and the dress before was totally forgotten and unrecognizable. To break everything up, I layered up with a denim jacket (similar one here), added some knee length socks & funky clunky wedges and there! With a pop of the collar I have a weekend brunch look with a bit of rock and roll! Just how us HerCastleGirls like it.
