Give Back & Dance It Up!
Give Back Foundation founder, Tre’ Armstrong, Choreographer, Actress, and Celebrity Judge from CTV‘s So You Think You Can Dance Canada, took over Canada’s National Ballet School for Give Back & Dance It Up! A free day of dance where Canada’s top dance instructors teach a variety of dance styles.
A major highlight that day was an on-line dance-a-thon & talent showcase, web casted on UStream.tv to over 100,000 viewers globally called Dance It UP! Celeb performances included Anastasia A, Lisa Banton, NyceTouch & Saidah Baba Talibah. It was a happy positive atmosphere at the ballet school as many young dances and experienced jumped at the chance to try different styles of dance they never tried before. We sat in on the Dancehall class (Why? We are of Caribbean culture after all) and the class was packed! Dance instructor, Tonya Burke taught a room of dancers an upbeat dancehall routine. We have some video of the finished product!
