Sixty Years of Rebellion: Fred Perry Screening ‘Subculture’

As you all know, we are FIRM believers music’s influence on Fashion. If the Beatles didn’t look cool and different, their careers wouldn’t have traveled the successful path it did. You can not even imagine our excitement when we received an invitation to the screening of Subculture, directed by Grammy-Award winning recording artist, Don Letts. The film is about Fred Perry’s unique 60 year association with British underground culture and how music influenced street style. The music dictated how you dressed and where you belonged! We recommend watching this film. Fortunately for you, the film is online! Watch what rockers, punks, ska lovers, mods, new wavers, ravers and more think about Music’s influence on their style and culture. You’ll be fascinated with how fashion has repeated itself in different forms. See the film here.
