The Golden Globes 2012: The Standouts

If you wore black, you might have disappointed us. The red carpet was full of color and sparkles! What a great change! This red carpet got us excited about the colors to come for Spring. Take a look at our 2012 Golden Globe gown favorites!
Jessica Alba went with somewhat of a “safe” number, but it worked! Lilac pastels are a usual favorite for the actress so she took on that look with some embellishments and a clean up do’.
Angelina Jolie didn’t wear black! Her Atelier Versace dress was so well fitted and tailored. Her make up was spot on to the point wear she almost looked unreal, like a doll. We are fans of her up do’, just because she’s worn her long hair down to so many events recently. People didn’t enjoy Brad Pitt’s longer hair, but every year one guy attending will have long hair and a beard.
Emma Stone is back! She was all casual at the People’s Choice awards last week, but she pulled out this edgy Lanvin and a side sweep up do’. Love the use of sheer fabrics here.
Natalie Portman! At first we weren’t sure of the Lanvin gown, but after some more views, we like. The color is fab and her hair and make up just make this dress work.
Okay, we have Nicole Kidman who we consider a red carpet veteran. We love the dress itself, but the styling could improve. She seems a bit to pale and washed out against the light color dress and her hair needed more vibrancy in color. If you’re a redhead, be a redhead.
Selma Hayek in Gucci! She just looks amazing! Enough said here.
Mary J. Blige took to the carpet in a feather fish tail. We love the color and the smoothness in the fit.
Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli. She stands out in this blush gown covered in sparkle embellishments. We are fans of her accessories. He hair do’ was also voted as a favorite, an up do of loose curls pinned mid way in the back.
We enjoyed the back of Claire Danes J Mendel dress.
Ariel Winter looks adorable in this purple number. Such a great look from head to toe.
Octavia Spencer choose the right gown here! The color was just lovely on her, the jewels tie the look together perfectly and her hair do just brings it all together.
Sofia Vergara in Vera Wang. Va-va-voom! We have always enjoyed a girl that works with her curves and Sofia is a pro at it. She was wise going with bone-straight hair to the side here. This gives way for the amazing fish tail at the bottom.
Elle Macpherson is probably one of the few women who could pull this Zac Posen gown. Being tall and slender is a prerequisite for this lovely red carpet delight.
