HerCastleGirls Discover | Hayes Inn, Prince Edward County
If you want to get away from the rough city life of Toronto, Ontario we suggest hitting up Prince Edward County. We were introduced to the county through our best girlfriend Elana of Elana Camille Creates. After the introduction to the area 3 years ago, we became hooked and without trying we go at least once a year. This time around, we stayed at a lovely bed & breakfast, Hayes Inn which is very close to the town of Picton in an area called Waupoos.
This colonial home built in 1838 is nestled between lovely green trees and only 15 minutes away from the town. Although the home has the charm of a historic monument, it has all the modern fixings you could ask for! Flat screen televisions, Wi-Fi, and the most beautiful bathrooms to make you feel comfortable. As lovely as the home is, the hosts are the real stars of Hayes Inn. Property owners Katie and Mike and their fur baby Marzipan are such awesome hosts. They do wonders in the kitchen, creating delicious breakfasts using local suppliers in the area. Seriously, if you are into breakfast meals, this is your place! Guests have access to their own bathrooms, the living room and guests dine in the spacious dining room each morning. Even with my party of 6, we all had more than enough privacy and space. Our hosts accommodated food allergies and preferences too, which was such a special touch.
We were very comfortable in Hayes Inn. The space is so clean and refreshing, quiet! Check out images below and consider booking Hayes when heading out to The County.
