WMFW: REDKEN’s Pink Tartan & PAVONI Look!

REDKEN 5th Avenue invited us backstage during World MasterCard Fashion Week to take a closer look at the looks for runway this season. We all know the runway is a exaggerated mirror of real life, and the trends we see in hair and makeup today will be all the rage for the upcoming season with consumers. One trend we see so far, especially by PINK TARTAN was the Soft & Playful look. Severe is so NOT in for hair this season. REDKEN kept things soft and lively by pinning hair off to the side, adding texture and shape to each section using a 11/4 inch curling iron.

Although PAVONI sported the Lady-Like up-do look, it wasn’t the 1990s ‘perfect’ style we have seen years before. The up-do created by REDKEN was a bit, messy, with movement and very youthful. The foundation was created first, then textured sides were wrapped around the head with a side part to finish off this buffant style.
