World MasterCard Fashion Week: Lucian Matis

Designer Lucian Matis presented two collections at World MasterCard Fashion Week this season (MATIS by Lucian Matis & Lucian Matis), but we want to talk about the Lucian Matis collection. This collection offered up a little piece of every woman! From bright printed bustiers, high-waisted pants with a 1940s flare to the edgy, modern, dark downtown woman who turns heads as she glides through the room. Lucian used sheer fabrics for some pieces, not leaving much to the imagination when it came to the models lady parts, but the cuts and frills within the designs were lovely on the runway regardless. We must remember, this IS Fashion after all. Lucian really knows how to place prints and florals, using them in a way that appeals to women, framing the neckline so the eyes dart right there, instead of right to the mid-drift or hips.
