America’s Next Top Model Live Toronto not only provided a space for fashionista’s to indulge in the best in Toronto’s fashion industry, but the shopping weekend introduced Toronto to British designer, Joey Bevan, who has been compared to the late Alexander McQueen. Joey is the official designer for Britain & Ireland’s Next Top Model Live and like McQueen, he presented a theatrical show, inspired by the creative mind of film director Tim Burton. The models represent a young child’s toys that come to life! Although dark, and twisted, each piece is gorgeously made with great details of lacey layers, full skirts, puffy shoulders, and leather bodices. Joey’s show was consistent and clear from the choice in using heavy dance music & makeup by Kryolan, to the models stomping runway walk. Check out some of our favorite pieces from Joey’s collection. We always enjoy a good British invasion!

Comparing Joey to the late Alexander McQueen is like comparing a dog turd to a diamond encrusted jewel – they are NOTHING alike!

It is an insult to McQueen!

Joey does ANTM, McQueen does Couture. That should say it all.
